You can get the overview of what we do by clicking on the “About” tab, but on this page, we get down to the nitty-gritty. Everything that follows should be looked at as a menu where you can order the whole thing or pick and choose.

Concept Development

It all begins with the concept and the process of concept development begins with two questions: what do you want to say and how do you want to say it? What you want to say is up to you, but there are a lot of options for how to say it. Perhaps you want to create characters and tell your story through a scripted video. Maybe you want to tell your story through a documentary style profile of your business or product. However you want to tell it, we can make it happen.

Script Writing

Our talented staff of writers will work with you to create the dialouge, situations, and scenery that best represents the story you want told. Of course not every video will require the traditional script. A documentary style profile of your business would simply not work if it was scripted because not all of us were born with the ability to convincingly read from a teleprompter or memorize a script. We would all be newscasters and actors if that were possible. However, in order to get the most natural expression of the story you want to tell, our producers will develop a list of questions to ask the person on camera. Although our documentary style videos are not scripted, we still create an outline of the concept so we know what to shoot.

Casting

If you need actors, then we know where to find them. Working with talent agencies, we will find the perfect actor for each individual project but no one gets the part until the client agrees.

Production

This is where the rubber meets the road. You can have a great concept that is beautifully scripted with a gorgeous Oscar-worthy cast but if it isn’t shot well, then it just doesn’t work as well. The same goes for a documentary-style business profile or product demonstration. Poor lighting, bad camera angles, jerky camera movement, rough audio, pixelated video, and the infamous microphone in the top of the shot are just a few of the things that can detract from the final video. It might be possible to digitally fix some of these things in post-production (the operative word here is “might”) but that can be time consuming and above all else costly.

But don’t worry about any of that because if you hire Seven/Seventy-Nine for the production, we will guarantee that none of the above will affect your great concept. The quality of your video is a direct reflection on us and quite frankly, we think too highly of ourselves and our production skills to have it looking bad.

We have a great production team to choose from depending on the job. Some productions are big and require the help of lighting technicians, sound engineers, electricians, artists for set design/dressing, and a hair and make-up crew. Other productions can be done with a crew as small as a producer and a camera operator. It all depends on how you want to tell your story. Seven/Seventy-Nine understands that time is money and as such we are very respectful of your time. If we need to shoot at your business, we will work with you to find the best time to shoot so that we don’t disrupt daily operations.

Editing

This is where all the pieces of the puzzle are put together. Editing requires a critical eye in order to put the good clips of video together in a coherent story. This process requires a lot of patience as well because editors have to comb through all of the outtakes, interrupted shots, and mediocre shots in order to find the gems (our editors have the patience of a monk). Beyond all of the above, editing requires a lot of technical knowledge. Color correction, audio level adjustments, and effects integration are just a few of the technical things that happen during the editing process. Hopefully none of this techno-babble gave you a headache. Our editors enjoy what they do and they’re good at it.

Soundtrack

The soundtrack can help set the tone for your video. It can also help fill the void during transitions or when no one is talking. However you have to be careful when selecting a soundtrack because it can distort and possibly kill your message if the wrong music is used. If your company sells Robot Butlers for example, you certainly wouldn’t want ominous and threatening music (think Dracula) playing during the commercial or any of the web videos. But again, if you come to Seven/Seventy-Nine, this won’t be an issue. We have a vast library of music to choose from and access to a lot of talented musicians who can create original music if you want it.

Graphics and Special Effects Creation

From animation to a basic title screen with a logo and contact information, we can do it.

Distribution

You’ve said what you wanted to say and said it in a creative and visually stimulating way. Now all you need is for people to see it. If the intended medium is television, we can help you get airtime and deliver the video to the stations. If you want to go with a viral campaign online, we can plug your video into the most trafficked video sharing sites and online ad networks. If you want DVD’s, we can have any number of them produced. Basically, however you want to get it out, we can do it.
